Oh my Sweet Jayzus, I just scared the living crap out of myself. My wife's listening to the soft hits station on TV and Air Supply's Even the Nights Are Better comes on...and...oh, jeezus, I can't even bring myself to type it...It's far too frightening. OK, Baley, suck it up and blurt it out...

I KNEW THE WORDS!!! Every single, *#$% sappy one of 'em. All the inflections, the slight key change at the end, the way he pauses slightly on "since I fooound yoooooou". I was god-damned pitch perfect.

Where do you run when your own mind is what scares you most? Along with Graham Russell and Russell Hitchco--OH GOD, I KNOW THEIR NAMES!!!

This post is hilarious since I've attended your Code Camp presentation and know that you're not *really* that scared that you've memorized Air Supply's greatest hits!! It's okay, man! Air Supply <> girl music. In fact, it is pretty awesome. Be proud!!!

Wh...what are you...talking about? I'm no closet Air Supply fan. I've memorized Making Love Out Of Nothing At All on the piano because I appreciate the musical stylings of Jim Steinam, not because I picture myself belting out "It's everything I know and it's nothing 'til I give it to you!" in front of a crowd of thousands in Madison Square Gardens.

This gives more ammunition to my suggestion to have some sort of "Developer Idol" post conference events. Kyle Baley singing Air Supply, Justice Gray singing "I was made for loving you baby" and the Igloo Coder singing "Like A Prayer". Just those three acts alone are worth the price of admission!
